Partnership Definitions
The ICT Center offers a flexible program that allows virtually any accredited educational institution an opportunity to associate with us. Following is a thumbnail view of the activities and expectations at varying association levels:
ICT Center Partner
Regional Partner
- Replicates the ICT Center model by delivering and supporting ICT Core Curriculum
- Elements as identified by the ICT Center through defined programs of instruction
- Works within its region to support the ICT Center Core Curriculum and ICT standards based education (as defined above) and training with its partner institutions
- Provides regional workshops and training for partner faculty and for industry
- Attends and supports the ICT Center summer workshops and related activities
- Provides subject matter expertise and contributes to the ICT Center curriculum maintenance and improvement
- Existing or pending NSF ATE grant or other sponsorship or funding
Collaborating Partner
- Actively extends the ICT Center mission, products, and services to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborates with the ICT Center and other partners. Examples include grant proposals, educational materials development, articulation agreements, or faculty development
- Attends and supports v summer workshops and related activities
- Existing or pending NSF ATE grant or other sponsorship or funding
Strategic Partner (provides one or more of the following)
- Supports research and development into ICT content, instructional methodology, and emerging technologies for the continuing improvement of standards based ICT technician education
- Provides visioning and insight to ICT - related emerging technologies, advanced applications, workforce development, and economic trends
ICT Center Member
- Supports and applies appropriate elements of the ICT Center core curriculum in programs of instruction
- Supports ICT standards based education and training
- Attends and supports v or Regional Partner summer workshops and related activities as appropriate
- Access to the ICT Center support in program evaluation, program development, grant proposal development or related activities
The ICT Center Subject Matter Expert (SME)
For our purposes here, the term Subject Matter Expert (SME) shall be defined as an individual who has, by virtue of his/her experience, skill or education, been acknowledged by his/her peers to exhibit the highest degree of knowledge in a specialized area.
A Subject Matter Expert will provide SME Services to the ICT Center and Partners to be determined on an individual basis. SME Services may include (but are not limited to) technical content, story boarding, pedagogy, or collaborations in support of the ICT Center or Partner educational initiatives.

- Access to courseware and materials developed or disseminated by the ICT Center
- Access to the ICT Center consulting resources for program development at prevailing NSF rates plus expenses at cost
- Opportunity to attend any scheduled faculty development activities
- Opportunities to collaborate in the development and submission of NSF and other grant proposals as appropriate
- Right to link to the ICT Center website and right to claim Membership in the ICT Center including use of the ICT Center logo (separate agreement may be required for use of logo)
- Notification of and opportunity to attend, contribute, and participate in workshops and seminars held by the ICT Center and Partners
- Opportunity to co-present at conferences and seminars as appropriate
- Free subscription to the ICT Center newsletter
